Best individual blog – Bernie Goldbach is on our board of directors but that’s not why we’re nominating him here. It’s more the other way around. Bernie has long been a huge influence on our work and continues to blog at high volume and quality even when Twitter, Facebook and Google+ have diluted the output of most other influencers.

Best individual tweeter – Fred Boss would deserve this nomination for running #edchatie alone, but he does far more than that. Keeping his ear to the ground, tweeting and retweeting a smorgasbord of informative education related information and links.

Best new blog – Pamela O’Brien only started blogging recently, which is surprising when you consider how important a voice she has been as one of the organizers of the annual ICT in Education conference, as a valuable contributor to #edchatie and as a mentor at Limerick Coder Dojo. Pamela has a lot of interesting things to say; we’re delighted she has chosen to say some of them in long form.

Most influential blog post – Michelle Moloney King on dyslexia. Michelle is a gifted writer and this is a very inspiring post.

Best twitter hashtag – without question it’s #edchatie – the best conversation to be had anywhere on a Monday night.
